Each ear cushion rotates here to make it more comfortable to fit on your head, but this does not save you from a lot of pressure on your ears. Within an hour it seemed to me that instead of headphones I was removing a clip from my head.
This snug fit is largely responsible for such impressive noise reduction. If the Solo Pro had a loose fit, they would be more comfortable but let in ambient noise.
